Distinctive and eye-catching design for car enthusiasts

In addition to sleek Ferraris and Maseratis, the large new car showroom in Lyngby on the northern outskirts of Copenhagen houses offices, service functions and even a bar – all modelled on streamlined Italian design combined with a Nordic architectural touch.

Italian brand identity and Danish cordiality come together in the 8,500 m2 car showroom with direct exposure to the busy Helsingør motorway. The manufacturer’s specific design requirements combined with a desire for a Nordic look have resulted in the distinctive architecture, which catches people’s attention and helps to further expose the exclusive high-end sports cars.

“The entire building is conceived so that nothing detracts from the cars. This has been achieved by thinking in terms of contrasts – the cars are known for being shiny and organic, while the building design is clean and simple – although with elements in contrasting colours. Stringent, matt and cuboid shapes dominate the dynamic and three-dimensional facades with apertures for showcasing the cars, while directing deliberate light effects on to the cars on display.”

Italian look with a Danish touch

The car showroom’s Danish design touch is reflected in the bar. The bar is not as such part of the Ferrari showroom, but a Danish addition where car enthusiasts can meet. A convivial atmosphere sets the scene for sharing an interest in cars and motor sport.
